In 2021, Craftproducers Hosted the First Annual Lake George Art and Craft Festival
Please Join Us in Lake George, NY in 2022!
We’d like to thank all who supported the show in its first year,
and invite all of Stowe Foliage Arts Festival patrons to join us in Lake George, NY in 2022.
What Can You Expect to See and Do At the Festival?
The Festival is a 3-day event from Friday through Sunday from 10am-5pm. The beautiful Charles R Wood Park is a short walk to the Village Center and the Million Dollar Beach. Make it a full summer day or weekend enjoying all that Lake George has to offer during this lovely time of year in the Adirondacks.
Slab rolled pottery with leaves imprinted to show the true marvels of nature.
The result is leaf imprints on functional pottery and unique clay based woven baskets.
Baskets are woven onto the clay bases and embellished with leather, copper, and beads.
Garden pieces, vases and storage, and tableware.
Jim Bellows explains that Chain Maille is a series of interconnected, woven metal rings. “Once worn by knights as a form of protection, it has been refined and modified to create elegant, classic jewelry. We hand form and cut our rings.”
Helen Yetman-Bellows explains she creates “signed original designs, one line at a time, combining simple ancient techniques to create intricate, complex results. (No two pieces are exactly the same – expect slight variations).”
Chain Maille Hand Tools
Jim uses special hand tools to create Chain Maille using simple ancient techniques.
Textiles and Writings
Helen also uses a process called sublimation to create wearable art on scarves and wristlets
What People are Saying
Don’t take our word for it – here’s what we’ve been told!
Being in Stowe while the leaves are changing is the best time to be here. This Festival is great for our whole family.
The quality of the work at this Festival is superb. We are never disappointed.
Attending the Stowe Arts Festival is a yearly family tradition for us. We wouldn’t miss it.
Craftproducers launched TWO new shows in Lake George in 2021. The Lake George Art and Craft Festival was July 30-August 1 and the Lake George BBQ and Music Festival was a couple weeks later on August 13-15. The shows are similar in some ways but very different in others. Both have great food and activities for kids. But the main focus of the Art and Craft Festival is on the over 125 juried artists and artisans, while the BBQ has a much smaller non-juried Marketplace with a primary focus on Barbecue Vendors and Live Blues Music on the Big Stage all weekend. There is also great music inside the dining tent on a smaller stage at the Art and Craft Show. Both events are held at the beautiful Charles R Wood Park, also known as Festival Commons. We hope to see you at one or both shows in 2022 and thank you so much for those of you who supported the shows in their first year!
